SU is a historically black college found in Baton Rouge, LA. Southern University and A & M College has an enrollment of approximately seven thousand students.
An ACT or SAT exam may be required before applying to this college. Scores within the range of 900 (25th percentile) - 1080 (75th percentile) on the SAT and in the range of 17 (25th percentile) - 20 (75th percentile) on the ACT is typical among applicants that get into Southern University and A & M College. By applying sampled GPA data from over 150 schools, we are able to estimate that the Southern University and A & M College (SU) average GPA ranges from 2.80 to 2.97 for accepted students. About 30 percent of all applicant were accepted at SU, and from those that were granted acceptance roughly 36 percent continued on to enroll.
The overall acceptance rate for Southern University and A & M College was reported as 34.9% in Fall 2020 with over 10,600 college applications submitted to SU. Both in state and out of state applicants are included in these figures. We do not have data on transfer acceptance rates currently.
